Emilio Palame has turned his prodigious talents to the production of the upcoming movie Forty-Seven Days With Jesus.
Emilio is a musician with a stunning history of accomplishment as pianist, composer, arranger and many years as Peggy Lee’s musical director. He has a long history as a highly regarded actor, director and writer as well as a creative force behind the musical adventure-drama, Knights of Swing.
Forty-Seven Days With Jesus is a 2 level story with a double drama; an outer story and an inner story braided together and told by spanning centuries and locations from old Jerusalem to the present day family ranch. It is a musical actually, scored luscious full orchestral music.
It is best (essential, really) to hear Emilio talk about this project to get the full essence of this cinematically and emotionally complicated work. His candor about his own family life and years in Catholic school add richness to the tale. You can see the joy in his eyes, feel his entusiasm for this work and what it did.
Side-note here, not to be a spoiler, but I have seen Emilio’s live shows as well as his last movie, and I can tell you that his talent is overwhelming, his performances flawless and his joy contagious.
The movie will be opening at major theaters across the US March 11th of this year. Tickets available online via FathomEvents.com .
