Ever wondered who dresses those men who look so perfect in their suits and ties? I never did until I met the woman whose career (and mission) is to do just that. She is Andrea Valo-Espina, a designer, and, although she can sew a man’s suit herself, she relies on her talented cadre of 35 workers to do the tailoring of the finest European fabrics. She dresses women, too, on special request, but mostly men come to her for her style, perfection and patience (yes she actually takes 36 body measurements). She talks about her categories of clients, the way she works, and who some of her clients are.
Compassion is a must as well and what she did when one of her clients broke down into tears at an appointment will show you why. What to do about challenges like a 6′ bride who cannot buy off a rack, a quadriplegic who was scheduled for a television appearance but could not cannot leave his wheel chair who needed something great for a television appearance or Bubba Paris who needed her lips to be sealed for a personal issue.
The list goes on, so best that you listen yourself for the details of who and how. A world I never would have imagined! Her love letter, a very important sort, really, was a delightful surprise to me.
